Job Title: Placement Specialist/ Lumberton, NC Hours are 8am to 5pm Mon to Fri. . Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is a plus for this position.
Job Summary/Purpose:
The Placement Specialist relies on a prescribed and well developed selection process to determine if the qualifications, skills, and character of job applicants meet strict Two Hawk Employment Services employment standards and the specific skills requirements
detailed in customer job orders. This selection process involves screening applications, interviewing and assessing applicants, performing drug screens, background, and reference checks, administering skills tests, informing candidates of all aspects of the job, including job requirements, compensation, client specifics and safety. The Placement Specialist maintains a high level of customer service during this recruitment and placement process, establishing a direct, open line of communications with clients or their representatives. To facilitate recruiting, direct lines of communication are established with Employment Security Commission offices, community colleges and high schools, and local community factions.
Essential Job Duties:
Receives job orders and utilizes personnel files or database of pre-screened “available” personnel to determine which candidate(s) have the skills/qualifications to fill position(s) requisitioned on a particular order. Contacts potential candidates to seek commitment for job acceptance or to arrange job interview, informing candidate about the job, directions to the job or interview site, reporting contact, special work rules or payroll requirements, dress code, pay rate, work schedule, and safety. Provides personal protective equipment to employees when required with instructions for proper wearing and use. Visits job sites to perform check-in of employees reporting to job assignments. Interacts with customers, as needed, promptly responding to all inquiries or directives pertaining to job orders in a courteous and efficient manner. Makes contacts with “available” unassigned employees, the NC Works Offices, schools, and other employment sources to recruit applicants. Screens new applicants, verifies identity and work status, performs drug screens, and completes reference and background checks; administers skills tests as needed. Maintains daily job placement log. Purges personnel files regularly to eliminate terminated and non-responsive candidates. Leads employee training sessions as directed and conducts new employee orientations. Performs general clerical duties to include, but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing. Responds promptly to requests for information from senior management, office manager, or employees. Maintains daily placement log. Performs other related duties as assigned

Credentials & Experience:
- Two year degree or equivalent course work in secretarial sciences and/or personal computer
- One or more years experience working as an administrative assistant, secretary, or related field
- Acceptable combination of education and experience
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug testing.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; and talk; or hear.
- Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
- The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and distant vision.
