Maintenance Technician 1

Responsibilities:
- Provide universal support to the maintenance department filling in when training allows, and is approved, to ensure continuity of operations.
- Maintain an elevated level of professionalism, fostering collaboration, effective problem solving, and strong working relationships with facility management and team members.
- Complete painting assignments as required, including working at heights (e.g., ladders) and in varying environmental conditions such as cold temperatures.
- Maintain and replace forklift batteries, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including (but not limited to) inspecting fire extinguishers, logging monthly equipment hours, and checking emergency lighting and eyewash stations.
- Conduct regular building maintenance to ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities performed.
- Participate in training for various pieces of equipment to safely maintain, inspect, and potentially repair them.
- Support emergency response efforts as required. · Successfully complete required annual emergency response physicals, including lung capacity and hearing tests as required.
- Individual technicians who show advanced ability may be asked to perform or assist with entry-level refrigeration tasks such as completing refrigeration logs under supervision, provided appropriate training and certifications have been completed.
What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the following qualifications.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Skills: Previous maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of general hand and power tools. Experience with preventative maintenance is preferred.
Payrate: 15.00
Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
