Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical codes, safe work practices, and experience using hand and power tools to complete electrical work efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Install and maintain electrical systems and components (e.g., breakers, transformers, conduits, grounding systems)
- Ensure electrical work meets local electrical codes and safety standards
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, testers)
- Troubleshoot faults and diagnose issues to determine the most effective solution
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work as scheduled or requested
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness and properly handle tools and materials
- Communicate with contractors, supervisors, and team members to coordinate work
Required Qualifications
- Valid electrician license/credential (where required)
- Proven experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools (and electrical testing equipment)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when needed
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work (specify)
- Familiarity with energy-efficient lighting and electrical upgrades
- Training in low-voltage systems (data, security, HVAC controls)
- Experience with conduit bending, panel upgrades, and rough-in/finish work
Work Schedule / Location (Edit as Needed)
- Full-time: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Location: Pembroke, NC
Payrate: $17.00 per hour
